Why Boys?

We can only make a real difference in the lives of girls when and if boys and men understand issues around gender equality. Our goal is to reduce violence and bullying surrounding girls and to provide alternative outlets for boys to express themselves. Additionally, we want boys to be encouraged to stand up for girls in their communities and offer them tools to embrace a strong, independent girl. Every adolescent boy also has the right to health, education and protection from violence and abuse but while not at the cost of a girl’s right. We have been inspired by the boys and men who have started to stand up for the girls and women in the community and have seen first-hand how education and proper access can uplift a community.
